Semester 2 Description

Developing the Leader. Equipping the Minister. Preparing the Called.

​

Leadership & Ministerial Intensives (LA2) is the second phase of leadership development at the Tree Of Life Institute of Biblical Studies (TOLIBS). Designed for students who have successfully completed Spiritual Bootcamp (LA1), this intensive moves students beyond foundational spiritual formation into the deeper work of biblical leadership, ministerial identity, character development, and practical preparation for Kingdom service. Leadership & Ministerial Intensives is more than another level of biblical education—it is a leadership formation experience. Students are challenged to examine their calling, character, conduct, relationships, decision-making, communication, and spiritual maturity while developing the practical skills necessary for effective ministry.

The goal is to cultivate leaders who are:

Biblically grounded. Spiritually mature. Character-driven. Ethically responsible. Ministry-equipped. Kingdom-minded.

At TOLIBS we believe that giftedness may open the door to ministry, but character, preparation, obedience, and spiritual maturity are necessary to sustain the assignment.

Leadership & Ministerial Intensives (LA2) prepares students to move from simply recognizing the call of God to becoming equipped, accountable, and prepared to Love, Liberate, Lead & Launch others into Kingdom purpose. LA2 challenges emerging and developing leaders to understand not only what they are called to do, but who they must become to effectively carry the call of God.

Through Scripture-based instruction, practical application, ministry scenarios, classroom discussion, and leadership development, students are equipped to recognize their spiritual responsibilities, strengthen their character, develop discernment, and minister with greater wisdom, integrity, accountability, and effectiveness.

In a nutshell, the LA2 Focus is designed to move students from foundation to formation and from gifting to responsible leadership. At this level, the question is no longer simply: “What is my gift?” We begin asking: “How do I develop the character, discipline, knowledge, healing, and leadership capacity necessary to responsibly carry what God has entrusted to me?”

• From Gift to Office – The Five-Fold Ministry Intensive
  An in-depth exploration of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher as presented in Ephesians 4, including their functions, responsibilities, distinctions, and roles in equipping the Body of Christ. 

• FMI Discipleship & Healing - Healing the Leader Within

​​Equipping students to understand discipleship as a process of spiritual formation, healing, restoration, and transformation while preparing them to minister effectively to the needs of others.

• Spiritual Gifts – Leadership Formation & Character Development
  Cultivating the godly character necessary to carry the call. Moving beyond identifying spiritual gifts to understanding the character, maturity, discipline, integrity, and accountability necessary to steward those gifts effectively in leadership and ministry.

• Social Media Ethics & Behavior - Kingdom Leadership in a Digital World
  Examining the responsibilities of Christian leaders in the digital world, including communication, conduct, integrity, boundaries, representation, accountability, and maintaining a credible Kingdom witness both publicly and privately.​

 

Semester 2 Information

• Four weekly 50-minute classes each session.​​

• A total of approximately 3 hours of interactive classwork delivered through E-Learning and Multimedia, designed to strengthen biblical knowledge, leadership capacity, ministerial development, and personal transformation.

Assignments & Practical Development:

Throughout Semester 2, students will participate in assignments and practical exercises designed to move learning beyond the classroom and into everyday life and ministry. These include:

• In-Depth Leadership Skills Training Through the Word

• Identifying Your Purpose & How to Move Into It

• Identifying Your Spiritual Gifts & How They Operate – Level 2

• Damascus Road Experiences

• Ministry Journals – Next Level

• Societal Influences

• Health & Self-Care – The Necessity of It

 

Monthly Mentoring

Students will also receive a required one-hour mandatory monthly mentoring session with the Professor, providing an opportunity for focused leadership development, guidance, accountability, questions, personal reflection, and practical application of what is being learned throughout the semester.

• 12 Week Course (Total of 30 credit hours)

  • 4 Courses per Semester

    • 16 Credit hours per semester (4 Credit hours per course)

  • Tuesday & Thursday Evenings

    • 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM (EST)

    • 50 Minute Classes

• 9/1 & 9/3/26 - Initial Class/Information Prep

• Class Dates:​

  • Thursday Night Classes: 9/3 - 11/19/26

• Tuition: $1,260.00 per semester
  (Based on $42 USD per credit hour – 30 credit hours total)

• A $250 non-refundable deposit is required at the beginning of each new semester to secure and hold your place in the program.

• Payment plans are available. Arrangements must be made prior to the start of the semester. If payment arrangements have not been established in advance, tuition must be paid in full before the semester begins.
