Spiritual Bootcamp

 

Leadership Cultivation – Course I

     As the first course in our three-part Leadership Cultivation track, Spiritual Bootcamp is intentionally designed to equip you with the foundational tools necessary for operation through spiritual disciplines.

     The goal of this semester is the cultivation of godly character — the internal formation required to sustain you as you move forward in the call upon your life. Leadership in the Kingdom is not built on charisma alone, but on character, discipline, obedience, and endurance.

Throughout this course, you will be challenged in your spiritual gifts in ways that are designed to help you clearly identify what you were born with and what you are capable of achieving through God. You will not only discover your capacity — you will begin developing it.

This semester marks the beginning of your formal leadership training as you practice Leading Like Jesus. You will study His model of servanthood, authority, humility, and sacrificial leadership — and you will be expected to apply it.

     Your communication skills will also be sharpened. Each course assignment is intentionally structured to strengthen clarity, confidence, and effectiveness in written and verbal expression. This development will culminate in a required research paper designed to demonstrate both theological depth and leadership maturity.

     Finally, you will begin learning how to Hear the Voice of God — understanding how He speaks, when He speaks, and why He speaks. Discernment is essential for sustainable leadership.

Semester 1 Information

3.5 Hours of interactive classwork per week via Zoom which includes:

​

• Spiritual Disciplines - These are practices that by design can lead to life transformation. Their purpose is to aid our spiritual growth as disciples of Christ and deepen our relationship with God. They are training exercises for the spiritual life.  We will be studying & practicing Inward, Outward & Corporate Disciplines.

  • Inward Disciplines: Meditation, Prayer, Fasting, Study

  • Outward Disciplines: Simplicity, Solitude, Submission, Service

  • Corporate Disciplines: Confession, Worship, Guidance, Celebration

• Hearing the Voice of God - Understanding Godly Characteristic via His Attributes and Learning to Hear His Voice.​

• ​Leadership Essentials - Spiritual Gifts - Understanding Spiritual Gifts and yours in particular; How your Character and Temperament contribute to your gifts operating in your Sphere of Influence; Delving into your personal online Spiritual Gifts assessment are just the beginning of the topics covered in this course.
• Leading Like Jesus - Biblical Doctrines based on the Work of Jesus Christ.​
